Maartje van Rije

In 1981, I was born in Muscat, the capital of beautiful Oman. Because of my father's work, I grew up surrounded by diverse cultures and languages for a large part of my youth. That laid the foundation for my passion for language and people. In my life, I have moved 14 times and learned 6 languages. Since 2008 settled in Oosterhout in Brabant. When I started as a Dutch teacher for non-native speakers at the renowned language institute Regina Coeli (the Nuns of Vught) in 2016, it felt like coming home. I have been a freelancer since 2023 and, in addition to teaching in Vught, I also teach online lessons.
